Swedish chemical tanker operator OljOla Shipping AB has implemented a comprehensive UniSea software suite, consolidating operations previously managed by four separate vendors onto a single integrated platform.
The Gothenburg-based company, which operates four specialized tanker vessels in the chemical and product tanker segment, selected UniSea's integrated modules to replace multiple disparate systems. The implementation includes HSE management, integrated management systems, audit capabilities, permit-to-work processes, and maintenance planning.
"UniSea is the best software on the market, solving many of the company's needs on one platform," said Tom Nilsson, Managing Director at OljOla Shipping. "With UniSea, OljOla now can rely on one supplier which previously required four different vendors."
The new implementation spans 12 core modules, including the recently launched SIRE inspection module alongside traditional offerings such as maintenance management, procurement, and risk assessment tools. This comprehensive approach allows OljOla to utilize cross-module functionality and data sharing capabilities.
"We're utilizing the synergies and benefits from one platform, with all modules together," Nilsson explained. The integrated approach enables data consistency across different operational areas, from safety compliance through to planned maintenance scheduling.
Notably, this implementation marks OljOla Shipping's return to the UniSea platform after a brief period with alternative solutions. The company has now chosen a more extensive software suite than their previous implementation.
