Subsea specialist Omega Subsea has signed with UniSea, adopting a wide HSEQ module suite alongside UniSea Maintenance and UniSea Procurement to manage its fleet and ROV operations on a single platform.

One platform for a specialized subsea fleet

Omega Subsea works at the demanding end of the offshore sector, delivering subsea project execution and a full range of ROV, Survey and Tooling services. That kind of work leaves little room for scattered systems and disconnected records. By moving safety, maintenance and purchasing onto one platform, the company replaces fragmented tools with a shared environment where information flows between departments instead of sitting in silos.

The agreement covers a broad HSEQ footprint, including HSE, IMS, Audit, Risk, Management of Change, Bulletins, Forms & Checklists and Univu, together with the UniSea Maintenance and UniSea Procurement modules.

Software treated as part of the toolkit

For a company built around specialized subsea capability, software is chosen with the same care as any other piece of equipment.

"We specialize in subsea project execution with our full range of ROV, Survey and Tooling services and capabilities. Having the best tools to do the job is critical. That also goes for the software solutions we choose," says Morten Haugen, Chief Operating Officer at Omega Subsea.

A long-term growth partner

Omega Subsea framed the decision as along-term one, pointing to flexibility and sector fit as the deciding factors.

"UniSea is the market leader for flexible fleet management software to the offshore sector, and a perfect growth partner for us going forward," says Haugen.

Maintenance designed for crew, by crew

The UniSea Maintenance module follows a "for crew, by crew" philosophy, designed by maritime professionals who understand the realities of work at sea and offshore. Its preventative maintenance focus helps operators keep critical equipment, including ROV systems, in service and audit-ready.

Paired with the HSEQ suite, safety findings, audits and corrective actions connect directly to the maintenance and change-management records they relate to.

Purchasing on the same platform

With UniSea Procurement running alongside maintenance and HSEQ, requisitions, orders and supplier records live in the same system the crew already uses day to day. That reduces administrative overhead and gives the office and vessels a shared view of what has been ordered, received and spent.

A word from UniSea

"Omega Subsea operates in one of the most technically demanding parts of the offshore industry, and it is rewarding to see them build their HSEQ, maintenance and procurement processes around our platform. Their choice reflects the flexibility we have worked to deliver for the offshore sector," says Kurt Roar Vilhelmsen, CEO of UniSea.
