Tackling the complexity of scale
Managing a fleet of 125 multipurpose vessels across global operations presents unique challenges. One of the biggest operational challenges Royal Wagenborg faced was comparing quotations from different shipyards. Quotations arrived in various formats - some in Excel, others as PDFs, many buried in long email threads - making it nearly impossible to compare prices efficiently. This manual process was time-consuming and prone to errors, with critical information often getting lost in the shuffle.
UniSea Maindeck solves this through an online quotation portal where yards can submit prices directly into a standardized format. Superintendents can then request updates and revisions directly on the platform, ensuring nothing gets lost in email chains or scattered across different file formats.
