Norwegian offshore vessel operator Simon Møkster is expanding its existing UniSea implementation by adding Maintenance, Procurement, and Maindeck modules to its digital fleet management platform.

The Stavanger-based shipping company, which operates a fleet of modern support vessels including platform supply vessels and emergency response vessels designed for harsh weather operations in the North and Barents Sea, opted for UniSea’s technical modules to better manage their offshore fleet.

The pursuit of future-proof technology

Simon Møkster decided to expand their UniSea platform as a part of a larger, long-term effort to modernize its operations.

"It was critical that we choose a platform that was future proof, built on modern, cloud-based technologies," said Terje Gjerde, CIO at Simon Møkster. "Simon Møkster was one of the first offshore owners that went all-in on Starlink, which enables us to use cloud-based software onboard our vessels."

Building on a successful partnership

Simon Møkster was already an existing customer of UniSea's HSEQ and Operations suite of modules. When looking for a technical suite of modules, they trusted UniSea with that expansion based on their positive experience with the company.

Kurt Roar Vilhelmsen, CEO of UniSea, welcomed the continued partnership with Simon Møkster. "I'm really grateful for the continued trust that Simon Møkster has placed in us. It means a lot when existing customers choose to expand their use of our platform based on their positive experiences."
